Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains how Vast Switzerland GmbH (“Vast”, “we”) handles personal data in connection with this website, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
Who is responsible
Vast Switzerland GmbH, c/o Seed: Lab, Chemin du Musée 4, 1700 Fribourg, Switzerland. For any question about your data, write to hello@vast.ch.
What we process, and why
When you visit the website. Our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.
When you write to us. If you contact us by email, we use your address and the content of your message to reply and to follow up on your request.
No tracking. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. Its fonts are served with the site itself, so loading a page contacts no other company.
Preferences in your browser. Your choice of appearance (light or dark) and of language is saved in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Service providers and transfers abroad
We do not sell personal data. We use the following providers, who may process data on our behalf:
- Hosting of this website: Cloudflare, Inc., United States (Cloudflare Workers), which serves the website from data centres around the world.
- Email: Google Ireland Ltd (Google Workspace), which may process data in other countries, including the United States.
When data is transferred to a country whose level of protection is not recognised as adequate by Switzerland, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
How long we keep data
Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period, according to its own policy. Emails are kept as long as needed for the exchange and its follow-up, and for longer where the law requires it, for example for business records.
Your rights
Within the limits of the law, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to hello@vast.ch. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published on this page.
